If you want sucess in GATE then you can't ignore this.

Hi Readers we are now publishing the tips to prepare for GATE Exam.

  • Are you looking for how to prepare for GATE examination? You must apply the common experience of your seniors, teachers and parents to get idea about what should and what should not prepare for GATE.
  • First start your preparation right from the day you want to prepare for it. Beginning is half success. If you wait for some good day to start, that good day will never come and ultimately you will lose/waste your time unnecessarily.
  • You need to prepare selected topics of the GATE syllabus. Never try to read and remember complete syllabus because it will require more time and sometimes this waste unnecessary time and chances are that some of the important subjects and topics might be lose. Refer to the old question papers and note down the important topics asked.
  • Collect GATE Syllabus copy and find the subjects asked during examination.
  • Have previous year questions papers handy to know which type of questions can be asked in the exam Divide the subjects based on past questions and mark importance of each subjects.
  • Have a habit of noting or jot down important formulas that can be very important from exam as well as basic concept point of view. Just prepare notebook for each subject and you will be able to revise the complete readings in few hours by use of notebook.
  • Read only things that you do not know Concentrate on the topics that you skipped or you do not know in syllabus during your graduation. Skip those topics you already know. This will save your time of preparation of that subject.
  • When you start your preparation, just concentrate on concept not on theory derivation.
  • Discuss the topics with your seniors, teacher or in group of friend so, that if you are wrong in concept wise for that topic, some of them will correct you. Have a discussion of everything what you read. Discussion will lead to discovery of understanding. Concepts will be cleared once you start discussing. More minds work better than single mind.
  • Read carefully all the instructions given in GATE paper. Some of the instructions will be much importance than you think of it. i.e. negative marking system. Always be aware of new instructions in question paper. It is your responsibility to read and act as per the instructions.
  • Try to attempt those questions, for those you are almost 110% sure, not 90%. A wrong answer may decrease your overall performance in terms of GATE score. GATE asks those question which make you unclear about two or more similar answers about same questions if you are not clear in basics, you will not get right answer from the choices.
  • Normally students believe that if they attempt all the questions, they might get maximum score but they should kept in mind that GATE exam keep negative marking for each wrong answer and deducts about 25% of the total marks allotted to that question to which you gave wrong answer. Follow the GATE tips and get good score.
  • Attempt first all the questions that is very easy and when you are sure of its correctness. Leave some calculating questions and come back to those once you finish the easy questions. Always double sure about everything you attempt.
  • Use common sense in each questions. They are looking for common sense/basics only!!
